Lindamood is thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted for not one, but two categories at the 2025 World Demolition Awards, one of the most prestigious honors in the demolition industry.
This year’s awards saw a record number of high-quality entries submitted from across the globe, making the competition tougher than ever. To be recognized in two separate categories speaks volumes about the dedication, expertise, and innovation of our team.
🏆 Urban Demolition Award – Parkland Memorial Hospital
For our client, BECK | EJ Smith Joint Venture, Lindamood dismantled the 1.3-million-square-foot Parkland Memorial Hospital campus—one of the most complex live-environment demolitions in recent memory. Surrounded by major healthcare facilities including UT Southwestern, Children’s Health, and the Charles Cameron Sprague Clinical Science Center, the project required meticulous planning to ensure zero disruption to patient care. Our team completed the work ahead of schedule, under budget, and with zero safety incidents across more than 128,000 man-hours.
🏆 Contract of the Year ($1M+) – Frank Erwin Center
For our client, SpawGlass Constructors, Inc., Lindamood took on the legendary Frank Erwin Center—known across Texas as “The Drum.” Located on the University of Texas at Austin’s downtown campus and bordered by Dell Medical School, Interstate 35, and student housing, implosion was not an option. Instead, our team engineered a reverse-sequenced, top-down dismantling plan to take down the structure piece by piece. This approach allowed us to control every load path, minimize vibration, and maintain safety in an extremely high-profile, congested environment with no margin for error.
Recognition on the Global Stage
Being named to the shortlist is not just about projects—it’s a recognition of the people behind them. From field crews to project managers, engineers to safety professionals, our team delivered these jobs with precision, innovation, and unwavering commitment to safety.
We’re honored to represent our company, our clients, and the U.S. demolition industry on the international stage at the 2025 World Demolition Awards.
