University of Texas South Endzone

Project Overview

Lindamood was honored to contribute to the stadium renovations for the Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium at The University of Texas at Austin. This multifaceted project included dismantling the south end scoreboard using a tower crane and meticulously following engineered plans to disassemble and lower sections safely. This task was completed ahead of schedule and without incidents, highlighting Lindamood's commitment to precision and safety.

In addition to the scoreboard dismantling, the Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletic Center underwent a thorough gut-out, and the overhead structure of the practice facility was removed to accommodate its expansion. This phase required demolishing all build-outs down to the structural framework and craning the overhead roof iron without compromising the building's supportive base structure. Working within an accelerated timeline, Lindamood collaborated closely with multiple trades to ensure the rebuild stayed on schedule. Careful and precise scheduling was essential to maintaining progress along the critical path.

The team's dedication to safety was recognized by the General Contractor, Hensel Phelps, who awarded Lindamood Inc. both the Silver and Gold STEP Awards for exemplary safety performance. These honors underscore Lindamood's focus on maintaining the highest safety standards across all aspects of our work. Lindamood takes immense pride in being entrusted with such a specialized and impactful project.
