UNT Fouts Field

Project Overview

Lindamood performed the structural demolition and site preparation associated with the $14 million redevelopment of the former 66-year-old Fouts Field football stadium at the University of North Texas. Rather than renovating the stadium for athletic use, the project required full removal of the existing structure to clear the footprint for campus infrastructure improvements, including:

  • 1,100 parking spaces

  • A covered bus transfer station

  • Supporting utilities and site amenities

Demolition operations began in November 2018 and were sequenced to safely dismantle aging structural components while protecting adjacent campus facilities and infrastructure. The project required careful coordination with Pogue Construction and UNT stakeholders to manage access, debris removal, and campus logistics within an active university environment.

In addition to structural demolition, Lindamood integrated earthwork operations to support final site grading and infrastructure preparation. All work was executed with disciplined material handling, environmental controls, and strict safety oversight.

The project was substantially completed in 2019 and transitioned seamlessly into its next phase of campus redevelopment.
