Texas A&M Kyle Field

Project Overview

As part of the Kyle Field renovation, Lindamood performed complex structural separation and demolition of the stadium’s lower bowl and East-side seating sections while preserving adjacent portions of the facility slated to remain. The work required controlled dismantling of interconnected structural systems to isolate the East-side lower bowl from remaining stadium components and the adjoining basketball arena. Demolition sequencing was developed to maintain global structural stability and prevent unintended load transfer during removal operations.

Scope highlights included:

  • Structural separation of lower bowl and East-side seating sections

  • High-reach top-down demolition of East and West end caps

  • Remote-controlled implosion operations

  • Full abatement and utility disconnections prior to structural removal

  • Demolition of associated campus facilities including F. Rollie White Coliseum, the Read Annex and Read Building, and multiple stadium support structures

  • Lowering of the playing field by seven feet

  • Complete debris removal and haul-off services

All activities were sequenced to meet an accelerated schedule tied to the upcoming football season. Work was executed in coordination with the University to protect remaining facilities and maintain operational continuity.
