DFW Airport International Pkwy. Bridge Demolition
Project Overview
Lindamood performed structural demolition services within the Central Terminal Area at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, removing six major pedestrian and connector bridges spanning active airport roadways.
Scope included demolition of three terminal tie-in bridges at Terminals A, B, and C; two connector bridges at Terminals B and C; and the Hyatt parking garage bridge. Work also included removal of existing tramway tracks.
Key project elements included:
Demolition of six bridges within the active terminal footprint
Removal of terminal tie-in bridges (A, B, and C)
Demolition of connector bridges (B and C)
Removal of Hyatt parking garage bridge
Tramway track demolition
Execution required precise sequencing and controlled structural removal above International Parkway and active service roads. Select roadway closures and detours were coordinated within limited windows to maintain airport functionality and passenger access. Work was performed under strict airside compliance with continuous coordination to preserve traffic flow and airport operations.
The project highlights Lindamood’s ability to execute high-risk demolition within active aviation environments while balancing safety, logistics, and operational demands.
