DFW Airport CTAE; Terminals A & C

Project Overview

Lindamood performed large-scale demolition and earthwork as part of the Central Terminal Area Enhancements (CTAE) project at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The work supported phased redevelopment of Terminals A and C, a key component of DFW’s long-term modernization program.

The scope included interior and structural demolition within active terminal environments, removal of approximately 800,000 square feet of existing apron, and moisture conditioning and lime treatment to prepare subgrade for future construction.

Key project elements included:

  • Demolition within active gate and terminal areas

  • 800,000 SF of apron removal

  • Moisture conditioning and lime stabilization of cleared areas

  • Phased execution within tight operational windows

  • Coordination under the AAA Joint Venture in a secure airside environment

All work was performed within one of the world’s busiest airports, requiring strict adherence to aviation safety protocols, access control measures, and continuous operational coordination. The project demonstrated Lindamood’s ability to execute high-stakes demolition and heavy civil operations within mission-critical infrastructure environments.
