Project Overview
This project involved the deconstruction of three four-story buildings located just 10 feet from a major arterial roadway in Uptown Dallas. The tight urban footprint and limited access required high-reach excavators and carefully engineered sequencing to safely dismantle the structures while maintaining traffic flow and protecting surrounding infrastructure.
The buildings were constructed atop a three-story underground parking garage, which was demolished as part of an integrated site redevelopment strategy. Following structure removal, Lindamood transitioned into mass excavation to construct a new basement for a future high-rise development.
Key project elements included:
Demolition within 10 feet of an active major roadway
High-reach operations in a constrained urban environment
Removal of a three-story below-grade parking structure
Coordinated demolition and excavation under a single contract
Transition from structural removal to basement excavation for vertical redevelopment
This dual-phase project required disciplined coordination, sequencing, and logistics management to ensure safe operations within a dense urban corridor. The work was executed without disruption to surrounding traffic or adjacent properties, positioning the site for accelerated vertical construction.
