Trinity River Bridge
Project Overview
Lindamood successfully removed a 3,666-foot-long bridge, including a 392-foot steel girder span over the Trinity River. The project required precise demolition techniques to prevent debris from entering the water while ensuring efficient material recycling.
Controlled Demolition: The bridge deck was saw-cut into panels and removed via slab crabbing, preventing concrete from falling into the river.
Diverse Structural Removal: 2 spans of I-beams and 104 spans of concrete pan girders were dismantled using conventional demolition methods.
Steel Girder Extraction: The steel girders over the river were carefully slid across bents and onto the ground for removal.
River Work & Bent Removal: Rock pads enabled safe access to the river bents, which were demolished down to 2 feet below the mud line.
Sustainable Disposal: All concrete and steel materials were hauled off-site for recycling.
Lindamood’s expertise in bridge demolition and environmental stewardship ensured a safe, efficient, and eco-friendly project execution. The strategic approach minimized environmental impact while maintaining operational efficiency.
